Fall vegetables and teeny little butternut squash:

Today was officially the very first day of Doggie Sweater Season!
Dog Sweater Season is the cutest season of all!

Nobody knew but me, but today my belt matched my shoelaces.



I was quite pleased with myself for this.
I think I will always wear this belt with these shoes and always be secretly pleased.

The third Saturday in October may be Sweetest Day, sure, and you can get yourself a nice heart-shaped pizza... but why not wait until the third Sunday in October, Bitterest Day, when you can have an angry pizza?

Right Now

Right now, right at this moment, at 2:30a.m. Saturday night, right here in my apartment with my family and my pets, and everyone asleep, I feel so powerfully happy. I'm not even making this up in an effort to convince myself I'm not sad! I feel, at this second right now right here, a real sense of self and happiness and excitement and silliness and love for everything and everyone.

It feels amazing! And I'm writing it down to remember that I can and do feel this.

- I found a soda in the fridge at work that I forgot I left there!
- I found $20 in my purse! (I had enough money for insulin AND lunch!)
- There was caramel custard at the Indian buffet instead of stupid mango ice cream!
- Very few dogs urinated on the floor!@
- My mom made me happy!
- FRESH INSULINS!
